Today I celebrated Apple Day by baking an apple pie. It didn't turn out too bad for a first attempt, although I think I used a bit too much sugar.
I found dozens of recipes on the 'net. Many of them were from the USA but I'm sure they work just as well with English apples!
Liz and I washed the pie down with a couple of glasses of Dunkertons organic cider from Herefordshire.
We tried both the Premium Organic and the Black Fox Organic. I preferred the Black Fox - it's slightly stronger with a drier taste.
